X-WR-CALDESC:DESCRIPTION:  Fab Lab Tulsa’s Sphero Summer Experience camp in
 corporates hands-on\, project-based learning activities with digital progr
 amming and fabrication tools. Over the course of five half-day sessions\, 
 students are introduced to two-dimensional computer aided design software 
 and laser engraver operation as tools for conceptualizing\, designing\, pr
 ototyping and fabricating custom structures. Students are challenged to us
 e these digital fabrication tools to devise and produce structural solutio
 ns to a series of design challenges that incorporate wirelessly operated\,
  visually programmable micro robots. Challenges include designing mobile p
 rotective robot enclosures\, designing robot agility and obstacle courses\
 , visual programming mobility trials\, and team robot competitions. Each c
 hallenge incorporates student designed and digitally fabricated elements. 
 Students test and evaluate their structural solutions during these challen
 ges and in the process develop iterative problem-solving\, critical-thinki
 ng\, self-assessment and team-building skills.\n\nAGES:  Students entering
  5th thru 8th grade for the 2021/2022 school year.\n\nDATE & TIME:  Sessio
 n 2 is Monday\, June 28 to Friday\, July 2 from 9:00am to Noon.\n\nCOST:  
 $125 per student.\n\nSCHOLARSHIPS:  To broaden access to young people in o
 ur community\, a reduced cost of $50 per student is available for those re
